The band comments: “We present to you ‘Painters Of The Tempest Part 3’… another piece of the 23 minute song that forms the centrepiece of our new album ‘Citadel’. This is the final part of the song and it follows straight after ‘Part 2, Movement 3: Curator’ that was the taste of our new album released online earlier this month. We definitely feel that ‘Painters Of The Tempest in its entirety is our most ambitious work to date and Part 3, featuring only acoustic guitar and violin and showcasing a completely different side to the band, is something we are particular proud of.”

‘Citadel’ will be released on November 7th (November 11th in North America). Here are the cover artwork and track listing:

  1. Painters of the Tempest (Part I): Wyrmholes
  2. Painters of the Tempest (Part II): Triptych Lux
  3. Painters of the Tempest (Part III): Reveries from the Stained Glass Womb
  4. Pyrrhic
  5. Devour Me, Colossus (Part I): Blackholes
  6. Devour Me, Colossus (Part II): Contortions

‘Citadel’ will be available on Digipak CD, various limited coloured vinyl editions, and merchandising. Pre-order now on the Season of Mist shop!

NE OBLIVISCARIS recently broke multi platinum artist ESKIMO JOE’s Australian record for the most money ever raised for a music-related crowd funding project. On June 30th, NE OBLIVISCARIS announced a crowd funding campaign through Pozible.com for a world tour with a campaign goal of $40,000. The band raised the money in merely 38 hours. NE OBLIVISCARIS continued the campaign thereafter, and 10 days later, topped ESKIMO JOE’s previous record of $60,736, having raised $61,752 with still another 49 days to go in their campaign. Pozible co-founder and Director, Rick Chen commented on the band’s stunning achievement: “We are thrilled to see a growing number of music projects successfully reaching their target on Pozible and love the diversity of our audience and their tastes in music. It’s great to see that NE OBLIVISCARIS, a progressive metal band with a classical violinist have such a strong support base that they not only join EDO AND JO and ESKIMO JOE in our top five biggest ever music campaigns they are leading the charge as the biggest-ever.” More information about NE OBLIVISCARIS’ crowd-funding campaign can be found here.

With adventurous, progressive, and nuanced compositions NE OBLIVISCARIS is a band with profound depth and a musical proficiency at the highest levels. With their first demo ‘The Aurora Veil’ in 2007, NE OBLIVISCARIS garnered significant word-of-mouth within the metal underground. In 2012, their self produced debut album, ‘Portal of I’ showcased their unique array of influences and dynamic songwriting, and sent shock waves through the metal underground once again. Met with even more praise, ‘Portal of I’ made several “Best of 2012” lists.
