Fresh off their exhumation from the Canadian underground, Cryptopsy officially came writhing and screaming into the world of extreme metal with their instant classic debut.    While only their first crack at a full-length, Blasphemy Made Flesh already bore the marks of the most vile band in death metal. “Defenestration” slits the album wide open at the command of drummer Flo Mounier, who blasts and beats his kit with unhinged precision. Adding lead axe man Jon Levasseur sharpened the thrashing riffs and hellacious, technical solo of soon-to-be setlist staple “Open Face Surgery”. But despite being recorded at a professional studio, somehow, inimitable vocalist Lord Worm had grown even more depraved since their ungentle demos. Beneath the brutal grooves hammered into “Mutant Christ”, he barks, slobbers and pants like the three-headed hound of hell. “You made me in your image / I deformed yours into mine”.      To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Blasphemy Made Flesh, Cryptopsy added two Satantic goodies with this reissue. The second disc showcases a 1995 live set that the band recorded during a tour stop in Regina, which includes a surprise Slayer cover and early cuts of songs that would later appear on None So Vile. The end of the first disc features a brand new 8-minute album medley with guest vocals from members of Shadow of Intent, Stabbing, Undeath, Carcosa, Unfathomable Ruination and a blistering solo from 2x Grammy winner and mega Cryptopsy fan Billy Strings.      Revisit the revered first offering from the most vile band in death metal.
