Rome-based progressive rock band KINGCROW have released an acoustic arrangement of “New Moon Harvest”, a track from their 2024 Season of Mist debut Hopium. The acoustic arrangement is available today on all digital streaming platforms.

The acoustic version scales the song down to its core, allowing the melody and lyrical weight to carry without the full band production of the original recording. Accompanying the release is a video filmed in a treehouse with the complete lineup, capturing the performance in an intimate, stripped-back setting that contrasts with the atmospheric density Hopium is known for.

“New Moon Harvest” is one of ten tracks on Hopium, an album built around the tension between the search for the true inner self and the pressures of contemporary life. The original recording sits within a record that draws on progressive rock, ambient music, alternative rock, and trip-hop, with reference points spanning Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Leprous, Archive, and Massive Attack.

Hopium was released in 2024 and marks Kingcrow’s first album for Season of Mist, following a run of critically regarded records on Scarlet Records and Sensory Records dating back to 2010.
