Ever since they came rumbling down from the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2013, Bask have sounded of their very own time and place. But on their critically-acclaimed new album, the Asheville natives have taken their homebrewed Heavy Americana to a whole new dimension. The LIT Music Awards recently recognized The Turning as the Gold Winner in their category for Best Rock Album.
“Thanks so much to the LIT Music Awards for honoring The Turning with ‘Best Rock Album’ of 2025″, says Bask, who are fresh off playing a sold-out show in front of their home crowd with Castle Rat and Howling Giant. “We are so grateful to everyone for listening, supporting and voting”.
The album’s latest single “The Traveler” also picked up some shiny new hardware from Music Video Asheville, who awarded Bask for “Best Wardrobe/Makeup”.
