More information about Evil Becomes Rule

After almost 50 years, Christian Death are still frightening the very fabric of society. The founding fathers of American goth rock are bringing this year’s Baby Bats Parade tour west of the Rocky Mountains this November. The tour starts with a very special appearance at Darker Waves Festival, followed by dates underneath the blood moon in Nevada, Oregon, Washington and California.

“From the shores of Huntington to the fog of San Francisco, we traverse the dark undercurrents of the West”, Christian Death says. “A ritual sound for those who walk through the Shadow Realm. The path unfolds”.

Of course, the band always stood out from this scene with their shocking lyrics, creepy synths and doom-laden riffs. But their gloomy and glam aesthetic has still enshrined them as pioneers of gothic subculture for more than 40 years.

Thank god that Christian Death will never die. Their debut album is still held up as the Holy Grail of death rock, though their doomy riffs and sinisterly slow synths have made them the rotten apple of every goth’s made-up eye. Heck, name another band that could ride “Sex and Drugs and Jesus Christ” to the top of MTV, VH1 and the UK charts.
