With “Yggdrasil II,” Danish composer and producer Reidar Schæfer Olsen—the creative force behind DANHEIM—unveils one of Heimferd’s most evocative chapters. Built upon slow, cyclical percussion and immersive drones, the piece unfolds like a ritual invocation, bridging the album’s elemental extremes between stillness and pulse. Reidar Olsen, the man behind DANHEIM has been producing music all the way back in his teenage years. Focusing on mostly electronic music, it wasn’t until 2016 that he fused this love for music production with his Danish roots.
