Season of Mist proudly announces the signing of HÉR, the Polish ensemble whose music bridges Slavic melody and Scandinavian atmosphere. Emerging from the northern shores of Poland, HÉR stand as both seekers and storytellers, weaving raw vocal incantations, bowed strings, and trance-like percussion into ritual soundscapes inspired by Old Norse poetry and human communion.

To mark this union, the band unveils “Needles and Bark”, the lead single from their upcoming debut album Monochrome. Inspired by verses from the Poetic Edda, the song channels the spirit of Icelandic fjords and Norse myth, its lyrics echoing an ancient meditation on decay and endurance: “The pine on the rocks dries and dies / needles neither protect nor the bark / why should he live long?”

Recorded at Monochrom Studio under the direction of producer and sound engineer Ignacy Gruszecki, Monochrome captures HÉR’s organic interplay through a blend of analog depth and modern precision. The album was mixed and mastered by Marcin Bors at Fonoplastykon.
