Profanatica have been wiping their ass with the Holy Scripture since the late ’80s.
Still, their new album is blasphemous even by their vulgar standards. Each song on ‘Crux Simplex’ bastardizes a station of the cross.

The first two singles off ‘Crux Simplex’ already took things a step too far. But “The Third Fall” has an especially soft spot for kicking Jesus while he’s down. Heck, you can practically hear those blackened chainsaw riffs tearing him limb from limb.
Here’s what Mayhemic Slaughterer of the Heavens Paul Ledney has to say about Profanatica’s new single: “The 9th station of the cross, Jesus falls for the third time because he was fucking weak. He tried to hasten his steps and now he hardly moves”.
