As they prepare to light up the world stage, today, Thy Catafalque are releasing a live video from last year’s hometown performance of the heaviest song off their dreamy twelfth album.

And yet – Thy Catafalque’s twelfth album only goes to show how far this one-time studio project has come. Joined by the fearsome growls of Zoltán Kónya, along with many other familiar faces from across his avant-garde discography, last year, Kátai performed “Vasgyár” for a sold-out crowd at Dürer Kert, which remains one of Hungary’s most influential underground venues. As spacey synth and a stirring violin solo weave as one with the track’s heavy bass line, it’s clear to everyone watching that Thy Catafalque are still progressing to new heights.
