London Sessions EP
For over two decades, THE OLD DEAD TREE have stood as pioneers of France’s dark progressive metal scene, blending gothic melancholy with progressive intensity. Revered for albums such as The Nameless Disease, The Perpetual Motion and The Water Fields, the band returns with renewed strength.
London Sessions captures a unique moment in the band’s history: four songs recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios with producer François-Maxime Boutault and mastered by Tony Lindgren. The EP intertwines two brand-new compositions (Feel Alive Again and Time Has Come) with reimagined versions of fan favorites from The Perpetual Motion. From the soaring crescendos of Feel Alive Again to the atmospheric weight of By The Way, each track resonates with intimacy, grandeur, and the emotional depth that has always defined the band. Cellist Raphaël Verguin adds further richness, while Henri Lejeune’s artwork and Julien Metternich’s photography seal the timeless character of this release.
