IN SOLITUDE bend the Metal square into a Heavy circle. It seems paradoxical that a bunch of Swedish kids play finest vintage Heavy Metal, but this is exactly what IN SOLITUDE do. When the band recorded their self-titled debut “In Solitude” (2008), singer Pelle “Hornper” Åhman was only 16 years old. He joined the fold one year after IN SOLITUDE’s founding in 2002. This makes it even more astonishing that their frontman acts and performs like a veteran pulling every trick in the book on stage. The Swedes have by now been invited to every major festival in Europe ranging from prestigious underground events like Hole in the Sky through the trend setting Roadburn to the giant Wacken Open Air by virtue of their passionate and mind blowing shows. IN SOLITUDE get them all as their virtuous riffing draws deep from the historic roots of BLACK SABBATH, MERCYFUL FATE or IRON MAIDEN, while infusing the occult and spiritual essence of Black Metal. This direction became already clear with first demo “In Solitude” (2004), which created an instant buzz in the underground. A second demo entitled “Hidden Dangers” (2006) confirmed this impression and widespread acclaim captured the interest of labels, which led to a release of two tracks as a single also called “Hidden Dangers” that same year. What started as a whisper grew into a roar, when IN SOLITUDE released their eponymous first full-length. Critics and fans were united in their praise and sophomore album “The World. The Flesh. The Devil.” (2011) was even named "5th Best Metal Blade Album Ever" by Terrorizer magazine (UK). Now the long sold out “In Solitude” is made available again by Season of Mist including two extremely rare bonus tracks. This is your chance to get this fresh classic of Heavy Metal reborn!
