After the return of SETH a couple weeks ago, Season of Mist has to express the joy of seeing one more band rejoin the fold: welcome back GORGUTS! The staff is thrilled to have the Canadian technical death metal band back on the roster, 13 years after the release of cult classic ‘From Wisdom to Hate’.
Nope, that’s not a band Season of Mist signed! Just the once will not hurt, Season of Mist would like to present a video game named Holy Sheep. Why are we talking about it? Well, because one of the developers is none other than our former graphic designer Jérôme Cros (the man who created the artwork of ROTTING CHRIST’s previous album ‘Aealo’, among others), and because the music was written by Fixhead (ex TAMTRUM), who also happens to work at Season of Mist!
Infamous New York City street punks THE CASUALTIES have announced their first U.S. headlining dates of 2013. The band will co-headline a string of southern and west coast dates with GOATWHORE in March and April. Additional support will come from HAVOK. The trek starts on March 27th in Houston, TX and runs through April 9th, in Seattle, WA. Here is the full listing of confirmed dates:

Fast-rising progressive metal quartet DISPERSE have unveiled a new song off of their forthcoming Season of Mist debut, ‘Living Mirrors’. “Unbroken Shiver” is available for stream at Got-Djent.com.
Metallic post-hardcore outfit KEN MODE have debuted a new song off their forthcoming album, ‘Entrench’. The new track, “The Promises of God” is streaming now at Stereogum.com. “The Promises of God” includes guest vocal contributions provided by Dave Verellen (BOTCH/NARROWS).
Pittsburgh’s COMPLETE FAILURE have debuted another new song off of their upcoming Season of Mist debut, ‘The Art Gospel of Aggravated Assault’ (scheduled for a February 15th release internationally, February 19th in North America). The track, “Mind Compf” is streaming now at Brooklyn Vegan.
Last November, Season of Mist announced the signing of Vancouver metal quartet ANCIIENTS. The band’s debut album is entitled ‘Heart of Oak’ and has been scheduled for an April 12th (April 16th in North America) release. “Raise the Sun”, the first song off of ‘Heart of Oak’, is streaming now at Decibel Magazine. Season of Mist just inked a deal with Philip H. Anselmo’s own label Housecore Records! Needless to say, the whole staff is thrilled and excited to start working with such a legendary artist. “A lot of things can be said about Philip Anselmo, but one thing can’t be questioned – his integrity”, Season of Mist CEO Michael Berberian comments. “He’s the definition of a true metal head, and his signings are a reflection of that. We’ll be looking forward to working his brand in Europe and giving it the attention it deserves!”

Season of Mist is pleased to welcome back SETH to the roster! The French black metallers’ debut album ‘Les Blessures de l’Ame’ (1998) was one of the label’s very first releases and it’s great to have the band back in the family. SETH’ upcoming fifth album is entitled ‘The Howling Spirit’ and has been scheduled for release on June 7th (June 11th in North America).
