With time its impact even grew as Encyclopaedia Metallum now awards this album a 100% review twice, while saying: “Cold Steel is pretty much a perfect album. It is fast, intense, and aggressive and most of all, incredibly infectious”!

SÓLSTAFIR’s new album “Svartir Sandar” entered the Icelandic album sales charts, ranking at number 12! In Finland, it also reached number 11 in the independent record store charts and number 41 in the national charts. Congratulations, guys!

This sonic blast of modern Metal has been scheduled for a January 20th, 2012 release and the first pressing will include a bonus DVD with nearly one hour of documentaries, video clips, rehearsals and “how to play” videos.

British doomsters ESOTERIC’s new album is entitled “Paragon of Dissonance” and will hit the stores this Friday (next Tuesday in the US). The whole album will be available for streaming on Finnish website www.kaaoszine.fi for a week, starting tomorrow!

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Doom legends SAINT VITUS to the roster! The band just completed their eighth studio album, their first since 1995. SAINT VITUS is guitarist Dave Chandler, drummer Henry Vasquez, bassist Mark Adams and seminal vocalist Scott “Wino” Weinrich, who recorded his first album with the band in over 20 years!

On next February 24th (28th in North America), Season of Mist will release a compilation of remixed tracks from MORBID ANGEL’s latest album, “Illud Divinum Insanus”. Far from being just revamped versions of the seminal extreme metal band’s newest songs, this collection will present the work of 39 artists from the electro / industrial, techno and club scene.

Season of Mist just inked a deal with all-star band TWILIGHT OF THE GODS! Initially joining forces as a tribute band to BATHORY, singer Alan Averill (PRIMORDIAL), guitarists Rune Eriksen (AVA INFERI, AURA NOIR) and Patrik Lindgren (THYRFING), bassist Frode Glesnes (EINHERJER) and drummer Nick Barker (LOCK UP) recently started to write their own material, which should end up on a full-length album some time next year.

In support of his debut full-length album “In the Flesh” released earlier this year, Egyptian-born, New York-based visual and conceptual artist Nader Sadek has announced the details of his first ever live appearance in support of the album, taking place November 20th at Santos Party House for FREE in New York City.
